Addressing Climate Change through Energy Transition has been my primary focus over the past 12 years working with the energy, chemicals and resources sectors. I am currently expanding this to include soil and water regeneration. I have over 35 years of experience building and managing teams and businesses, developing strategies and directing, managing and consulting on projects in the renewable energy, green hydrogen, water and resource sectors in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Latin America. Since 2004, I directed the Worley operations in Spain establishing and leading: from 2004 to 2008, an environment team, focused on contaminated land and water resources; from 2009 a renewable energy and carbon capture and storage team, directing the transport and storage components of the Spanish CCS program for ENDESA, and the advisory team supporting MASEN with establishment of the first phase of the Moroccan solar program. Since its formal inception in 2012, I led the Worley renewable energy center of excellence in Madrid and between 2018 and early 2021, I supported the implementation of the energy transition strategy for Worley in EMEA. I have supported companies and governments with the development and implementation of iconic renewable projects and programs. Examples include the first phase of the Moroccan solar program, the Shagaya solar power (CSP and PV) and wind power projects in Kuwait, the Dubai NoorEnergy1 950 MW integrated solar CSP and PV power project, the Atacama 1 CSP tower and PV plants in Chile and the NEOM green hydrogen pilot and concept project for scale-up in Saudi Arabia.I am passionate about the energy transition and excited about the opportunities that new technologies offer and how those can be deployed at scale to help address climate change. I feel lucky that I and my teams have supported several of the most iconic new energy projects, including the world’s largest hybrid solar project, and the first industrial scale green ammonia project in the world. This continues now through my support of Enertech in the Green Energy Oman project, another world-scale visionary Hydrogen Economy project.
